Magandang GenSan to all learners, parents, teachers, and non-teaching staff of Fatima National High School! The COVID 19 pandemic has admittedly affected the delivery of learning in a global scale. There are education services which are not applicable anymore in the new normal set up and this has brought questions on whether education can still continue amidst the dangers borne by the unseen enemy. Indeed, this pandemic has brought us to our knees with all the challenges it carried along, however, this also gave birth to brilliant ideas and innovations to ensure that quality education still continues.

Here in the Division of General Santos City, we try to make learning delivery easier through the various innovations that we introduce in line with our ProActive Response in Turbulent, Uncertain, New, and Ambiguous Environment (ProTUNA) initiative. Along with this, we also recognize the contribution of schools in our quest to pursue continuous education in these trying times.

Personally, let me commend Fatima National High School in its initiative of developing a Learning Management System (LMS) website and its move to provide students access to internet for free through its remote wifi service. This is proof that with a heart set on serving, even public schools can create opportunities for students to learn with just a click on their mobile phones, without minding the cost. Further, I would like also to express my gratitude to the Barangay Council of Fatima headed Hon. Reynante Curit for the funding and partnership made for this noble project. Indeed, collaboration really works and surely it will benefit our learners. Congratulations to the minds behind this innovation. And thank you for unselfishly providing service to our “kabataang heneral”.

Let us continue to work hand-in-hand in the name of “Serbisyong Heneral, Dekalidad at Marangal, dahil Una sa Lahat, Bata!”. God bless us all!

Schools today shall look beyond what is now being practiced and implemented, instead find alternatives in providing and delivering education for our learners in this new normal. In this time that our learners are in their homes, with limited contact, mobility and communication, we have engage much now to their parents. Many alternative options can be an opportunities to explore of our teachers and school heads with the present technology. School Learning Management System (LMS) is one of the proactive innovations that will surely provide access in just a click of our learners’ finger to all learning resources. With the capacity and availability of cellphones and computers among our learners, this platform will help and facilitate learning. This is a learner-friendy learning environment that schools can utilize to maximize the use of technology in learning.

I congratulate Fatima National High School for establishing this LMS platform, this will surely benefit our teachers, parents and learners in accessing all learning resources in this new normal of education.

PSDS Message

Greetings of Peace and Prosperity!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

To achieve truly quality education, we therefore need to be proactive in pursuit of producing our very own technological innovations. Thus, acquisition of new knowledge and innovation is very important, amidst this COVID 19 crisis.

We have seen how internet connectivity had helped in the delivery of learning of today’s New Normal. Indeed, it could also improve the quality of life of our learner in order to be more productive and globally competitive citizens in the near future if used wisely.

The most obvious challenge was and still, is the cost of technology itself and internet connectivity. But, with the initiative of the FATIMA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, it is now possible to Barangay Fatima because if the will and passion are there, our desire to CONNECT as ONE, is not impossible to achieve.

However, an educational system must be integrated for the learners to have an access of all the information as well as virtual interactive simulation of learning in this NEW NORMAL education. As such, FATIMA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL also provided FNHS LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WEBSITE.

As Principal In-Charge of NORTH FATIMA DISTRICT, I would like to thank the administrator, headed by Dr. Francisco M. Espinosa, to the Barangay Fatima Council, to the stakeholders, to the teachers, to the parents, and to the students of making this project possible.

Today, marks the HISTORICAL event of FATIMA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, as they launch, FNHS WEBSITE and FNHS CONNECT AS ONE project.

CONGRATULATIONS and more power! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

The onset of the global pandemic has affected us so much that all our social activities were hindered. Staying at home and online has been the new normal. Somehow, business, classes, even seminars and other transactions have to be conducted online. Every family struggled; livelihood and other means of support were crippled; and everyone was confused as to how to live in these most challenging times. We became dependent on the regulations the government gave. School schedules have been reliant also on the safety conditions of the people. However, school has to continue. Thus, providing the new gadgets and internet connection to the learners at home have become the greatest challenge that each family face.

We, too, in the academic sector were not able to elude the blitzkrieg. The burden of reaching every learner as a response to the unyielding banner of the Department of Education that, “Education must continue” has left every educator rummaging day and night for solutions to the problem. Hence, with minds set to help provide the basic needs of the learners in the new way of learning, Fatima National High School shall enable some areas of the community to be Wi-Fi ready.

We are very optimistic that with this project Learning Management System (LMS) website themed “Connect as one”, funded and supported by the members of the Barangay Council and a part of FNHS Alumni Association, no learners will be left behind. Parents will hopefully not worry about internet connectivity anymore. As long as the tower radius reach the learners at their homes, learning would become easier, accessible, and comfortable. Teachers, on the other hand, would not have a hard time extending help and monitoring learning progress of the learners. With the wi-fi connectivity, we would be able to secure the safety of our learners at the comfort of their homes.

Consequently, the full support of the constituents in this community is of utmost importance in this time of pandemic. Caring for the technological equipment near your areas to sustain maintenance and long-term usability of the project is one thing that will place Barangay Fatima soon to be the leading community in General Santos City.

Assistant Principal

The health extremity brought about by this new normal thundered the global awareness that life may change at a glimpse according to the decree of phenomenal superiority. This malady triggered the highest degree of anxiety among people from all walks of life.
Truly, Harold Wilson, describes, that anyone who rejects change
is an architect of decay, especially in these trying times. Hence,
firmness in decision – making can’t be reliable enough at all times. With the premise that one must attune to the ecological empowerment of this pandemic. Health and safety issues in the performance of our usual routines were given much premium, so that defense and productivity will still be attained and accomplished in a forethoughtful manner.
This pandemic unites us to build a strong force and embody teamwork, where proactive attitudes shall be embraced, so that concerted efforts will be more effective and efficient. And at the end of the day, we will survive and continue our means of living.
In the outset, sometimes we can reflect to ourselves that this crisis helps us to push into our limit. It can even act beyond expectation. In the field of education, flexibility in disposition becomes prominent, due to the uncertainty in the delivery of instructional pedagogies. Everyone shall take
part in the highest level. With much consideration that education demands as a social process.
This new normal setting challenges education sectors to be innovative and responsive. Thus,
technology becomes the easiest and fastest platform to convey and deliver education. However, skills in resource mobilization is the main requisite.
This is no longer fantasy considering 21st century education requires and anchors on information, media and technology skills. Community industry relevance together with government and non – government institutions shall convene for a meaningful and productive partnership. Technological supplies and equipment nowadays are already in dire need especially
this emerging health crisis where education must continue because the children can not wait, a laudable justification of our DepEd secretary.
The establishment of this technological innovation Fatima National High School Website “connect as one” will surely defines the approaches of Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate the central goal of Philippine Education for All program where basic competencies will
bring functional literacy and provide life – long learning. Further, this initiative may align to our Basic Education Learning Delivery Modality Transition Plan (BE LDM TP) from its wellspring Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE LCP). This website is through the kindness of
Barangay Fatima Council headed by Barangay Captain Renante Curit and part of which was funded by Fatima National High School – Alumni Association under the leadership of Roland Molijon. This project provides ease and internet accessibility to all learners and other stakeholders. Henceforth, circumscribes the BRIGADA ESKWELA PLUS wherein community– led efforts transfer undeniable machinery to improve students’ performance.
Wherefore, Fatima National High School as one of the proactive learning institutions in the Division of General Santos City will take a share of our education ACCESS: Bawat Heneral ay Nag- aaral QUALITY: Basta galing Gensan galing Gensan GOVERNANCE: SerbisyongHeneral Tapat at Marangal dahil UNA SA LAHAT BATA, because Gensan is the home of the champions, Kasali lahat, Kasama lahat, Para sa lahat.
